Taco Bell History

Glen Bell, the creator of Taco Bell, started his first restaurant in Downey, California in 1962. By 1967, Taco Bell opened another 100 restaurants.
During the early 1990’s the Taco Bell foundation partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of America. By 2002, Taco Bell’s foundation hit the 10 million mark in donations for at-risk teens participating in the TEENsupreme program with the Boys and Girls Club of America.
Taco Bell Foundation has continued to further its contributions by creating a Scholarship program, Live Mas, in 2016. Aimed at empowering the next generation of creators and innovators.
